We are self-funded & only make products we want to own. We only launch products we have tested extensively with daily-use. If we make more profit than we need we donate it to charities.
Who are we
Ute Home is a family-run subsidiary to DNC Designs Ltd, a design consultancy founded by Duncan Crosse.
Our approach
We believe products should make life easier, simpler and more harmonious. Life is complicated enough. That’s why we live with our products for months before releasing them. Then live with them after that because we want to have them.
We are our own customers (& we are harsh critics).
Sustainability
We spend a lot of time thinking about the products we want to introduce into the world. If they would be inherently wasteful in their production, or wasted because of poor functionality or longevity, we do not release them.
Enamelware is an artform that requires expensive machinery and highly skilled operators so we use offshore suppliers to keep pricing competitive.
We aim to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible by bringing the production of new product lines inhouse, or using UK-based suppliers.
One of our main goals is to give excess profits to environmental charities to rewild parts of the UK & the world. We hope we can get to that point with your support!
